What to Expect
Before Your Session
Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing for your session. Jeans and tight fitting clothing makes it difficult to create an effective contact in the sacral area, it is also difficult to track the flow through overly bulky clothing. Some clients can experience extreme temperature swings, wearing layers may help you stay comfortable during your session.
During Your Session
You'll lie face down, fully clothed, in a peaceful space. Each session is unique and may bring up differing sensations or emotions. This is your body unwinding, trust the process. Everybody is different, each session is different. Your body may experience the spinal wave with movement, breath, or stillness. There may be uncomfortable sensations that come up, try to relax and let your body work through what it needs to.

After Your Session
You may feel great after your session, or you may feel terrible. You may feel light- headed or dizzy, more emotional, more grounded, tired, relaxed or achy. You may feel more energetic; you may sleep better that night. Occasionally, there may be some digestive issues or increased pain sensations. These are all normal and can vary from session to session as your body is working through different blockages.
Self Care Following Spinal Flow
Always hydrate well, your body is releasing toxins and needs water to help process. If you do not drink enough water, you may feel queasy. Listen to your body, rest if needed. Walk or move around if possible. Avoid toxins such as caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs as long as you can. Journaling, gentle movement, or simply allowing space can support integration and allow your body to continue in this healing. Our goal is to restore your health and get rid of your symptoms, this takes time, there will be periods of highs and lows, stick with it as overall we are moving towards the direction of good health.
We are Here for You
After your session, we are happy to answer any questions, hold space for reflections, or provide gentle guidance as you continue your healing path.
How Long Will it Take to See Results?
You may experience results right away. If a issue or condition is the result of many years of unhealed trauma, repetitive movement, or chemical overload, it may take several sessions or months for the body to work through. Children often respond quickly, while adults may heal more slowly. The healing process takes time. There are three stages of spinal flow care.
Initial Intensive Care
Most people begin their spinal flow care with frequent visits depending on the severity of the condition. The primary focus is to reduce or eliminate the most obvious symptoms. Expect 3 to 4 times per week.
Corrective Care
After the ache, pain or condition diminishes, the objective is to stabilize spinal function and promote a more complete healing. Expect 2 to 3 times per week.
Wellness Care
With the restoration of spinal function, many clients enjoy regular spinal flow care. This type of wellness care can save time and money by keeping minor stressors, whether chemical, emotional or physical, from becoming more serious blockages. Expect once per week or bi-weekly.
